Rules for using TaxArith

Terms of Use

These terms set the conditions for accessing TaxArith and using its informational federal tax estimate tools.

Effective date: August 11, 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using TaxArith, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site. You are responsible for using the site in a way that complies with laws and obligations applicable to you.

Purpose and scope

TaxArith provides free calculators and explanatory material for general planning around selected 2026 US federal tax topics. The site provides estimates only. It does not calculate state or local taxes, prepare or file tax returns, communicate with the IRS on your behalf, or determine your complete tax position.

Acceptable use

You may use TaxArith for lawful personal or business planning. You may not:

  • interfere with the site’s operation, security, or availability;
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems or source services;
  • introduce malicious code or use automated traffic that disrupts the site;
  • misrepresent TaxArith output as an official IRS determination; or
  • copy or use site content in a way that infringes applicable rights.

Accounts, access, and payment

TaxArith currently offers no user accounts, registration, paid features, subscriptions, or payment processing. Access to the current calculators is free and does not create an ongoing service commitment.

Intellectual property

TaxArith’s name, branding, site design, original explanatory content, and original software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Tax laws, government forms, and IRS publications remain public materials owned or maintained by their respective authorities.

These terms allow you to use the site for its intended informational purpose; they do not transfer ownership of TaxArith content or software.

Accuracy and estimate limitations

Results depend on the completeness and accuracy of the information you enter and on the assumptions stated by each calculator. Tax rules and official materials can change, and a focused calculator may omit exceptions, elections, phaseouts, forms, interactions, or facts that affect your actual liability.

You are responsible for checking entries, reviewing assumptions, and confirming results against current official materials before relying on an estimate or filing a return. Read the Disclaimer for the full calculation scope.

No professional relationship

Using TaxArith does not create a tax preparer-client, accountant-client, attorney-client, financial adviser-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Site content is not a substitute for advice based on your complete circumstances.

The site links to IRS publications and may link to other external resources for convenience. TaxArith does not control third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices. A link does not imply endorsement by either party.

Availability and service changes

TaxArith may correct content, update assumptions, add or remove features, suspend access, or discontinue the site at any time. The site may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, network conditions, security events, or circumstances outside its control.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TaxArith is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or error-free operation. Nothing on the site guarantees a tax outcome, refund, savings amount, or filing position.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TaxArith and those involved in operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, refunds, or tax savings arising from use of or inability to use the site.

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded is limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

TaxArith may revise these terms as the site changes. Updated terms will be posted here with a revised last-updated date. Continuing to use the site after a revision means the updated terms apply to that later use.
